Snow Leopard Server ACL - Create file, but not folder

hi guys,

have bit of issue share point on sl server. hopeful here had answer

have server set up, series of share points on it. 1 of folders "marketing", , marketing team has boss, guy should able create folders within share.

people in marketing group, should have access write , delete files, not create folders.

here's setup:

users/groups:

john (boss) roger (one of marketing employees) john , roger both belong marketing group

share point acl:

marketing / allow / custom ( full read, write attributes, write extended attributes, create files, delete ) not create folder, delete subfolders , files john / allow / full access

last detail, users on apple computers.

problem

john able should, create files, folders, etc. roger on other hand, can read.

question

ability write files, require ability write folders? if let marketing group write folders, roger's access works. if so, there workaround?
