How to assign menu-bar applications to spaces?

hi,

don't know if other power users have run same annoyance in lion. in lion, long application shows in dock, right click display options assign application 1 specific or spaces. if application doesn't show in dock, how 1 assign spaces? example, yahoo widget (yes, it's going deprecated, analog clock best among options i've seen far , rather assign spaces.)

thanks!

found way application appear in dock (drag dock) - right click assign spaces (or 1 particular space) , remove app dock. roundabout @ least found way. *sigh* it's easier manage apps , spaces in snow leopard.
