External HD Help, please

ok, have 1 tb simpledrive serves external hd 2008 black mb. it's usb powered ac adapter. has 3 partitions.

of few days ago, i've been having sorts of trouble accessing drive. namely, can 3 partitions show on desktop @ once, , in disk utility, absent ones listed unmounted. thing that's giving me issue when "media" partition available through desktop or disk utility, says there 0 items on it, though lists 78 gb free of on 200 - can't music off reformat.

and, once these drives show mounted, can't unmount them, , such disk utility can't verify or repair anything. they're in use never are. i've tried force unmounting via terminal commands, logging in under different user, etc.

if 1 has ideas @ all, i'd ears , appreciative.
