Performance questions

i'm looking @ 2 different machines right now, mac mini , mac pro.

pro used or mini new. it'll $300-$500 difference between prices of computers.

i'm photographer , need photoshop, real kicker 30" monitor i'm using. have hp 30" monitor 2560x1600 resolution. when have 15" unibody mbp, performance kind of sucked @ resolution. don't know if because of crappy dual link hdmi connector or what, running photoshop chore. mini able handle or should used pro? down side of pro having 2 huge computer towers sitting next desk since have large wintel machine.
