i've tried googling , mroogling 1 still can't seem find clear answer, here goes...
should pdf documents have in ibooks syncing between devices via icloud - i.e. in same way books ibookstore do?
if so, how enable this? if not, suggestions on how achieve can sync stored pdfs on iphone , ipad?

no, 1 of major complaints. neither pdf's nor added epub's third party sources sync.
don't think backed up. have on few times in past restored , lost docs. annoying, it's hard manage/keep reliable library on ipad.
make sure stored in dropbox backup. that's recommendation. use dropbox, , star know you'll need it'll keep local cache of file.
