ok have 2006 dell ultrasharp 2407wfp has been working fine on mid-2010 imac running osx 10.6.8. connected dvi mini display.
has bee working totally fine till last week when of sudden screen on imac go blue 2-6 seconds come back. no work lost or anything. later week started going blue , when cam @ 1920 x 1200 resolution - try change 2560 x 1440 - not change though monitor pref saud @ setting , below usable resolution 1920 x 1200. happening dell turned off.
took mac store - said fine. issue dell monitor drawing enough power minidisplay port confuse imac.
wondering why after 1.5 years of being ok? wondering if has fix or thought? apple genius seems correct hve dell not plugged mini display , have not had problem since.
i'm little confused. monitors native resolution 1920 x 1200, not 2460x1440, why trying push resolution not suppose ??
think graphics card giving issue. not 100%. others have weigh in on one. sorry.
