MacBook screen

has had issue screen come on when lid barely opened? buddy has older macbook 08 don't know specs since screen works when it's opened 2 inches , can't read anything. sound bad display or wires screen in hinge. in advance

 

sounds display cable damaged. can replace using parts ifixit.
