iPhoto Backup to NTFS drive empty

hey geeks out there, i'm hoping because i've somehow lost iphoto library:

have lion 10.7.3 , iphoto 9.2.1, ntfs write access used paragon ntfs mac. drive copying iphoto library western digital 500gb ntfs filesystem. copy&pasted whole library, , 50.000 files (~75gb). formatted mac drive , did fresh install, having same version of lion , iphoto again, when i'm accessing folder on external drive it's empty. iphoto or aperture not recognize library. installed newest version of paragon ntfs mac , i've tried tuxera , accessed folder windows, folder empty , has size of 0 bytes. anyway, space library still somehow allocated ...

had same problem when backing iphoto library external ntfs drive or ideas how resolve it?

appreciated!
in advance!

did verify files existed on external drive before reformatted internal? it's possible paste wasn't finished or didn't happen @ all, due permissions issue.
use omnidisksweeper, jdisk report, disk inventory x or grandperspective see how space being used on drive. of these apps may show more detail others, try several.

may want re-index drive, well.

backups of user files, rather copy/paste or drag/drop, recommend using carbon copy cloner.
