Iphone wont allow songs to be added

whenever drag songs iphone playlist, turns gray on iphone playlist. have on manual. itunes shows "preparing update" nothing happens. reason ever since had problem, iphone wont connect car stereo anymore. dont know if related fustrating cant add music.

 

i'm having same problem. iphone won't add music add movies, , tones. i'm still waiting reply on post.
