[Guide] Success! Install 10.8 on old unsupported Mac

before technical, lets basic overview of "mountain lion" is.

alright, mountain lion 8th version of os10. makes different comparing lion? before that, let me explain "kexts" is. kexts kernel extensions in short, drivers on windows. there 2 versions of kexts. 1 32-bit other 64-bit. lion uses 32-bit kexts mountain lion uses 64-bit kexts.

you need understand above before understand im trying explain next.

so understand "hacked" mountain lion on unsupported mac running 32-bit mode. can ask has been replaced? we're "hacked" files?

- umm.. honestly, don't know start. talk extensions/kexts, either 10.7.5 or mountain lion dp1. other things replaced/modified are: platformsupport.plist, opengl.framework, opencl.framework, efi, mach_kernel, mdnsresponder etc etc. post full list when i'm free.

will work hackintosh?
- frankly speaking, don't know. chances will, not without modification. maybe should try chameleon mountain lion developer preview 1 or lion.

what not working currently?
- isight (low fps, deemed not working)
- numlock led stays on (numlock key works, led)
- disk utility won't repair permission (fixed, coming in v0.3)
- bonjour/network sharing not work. (fixed, coming in v0.3, in mean time, manual fix available, see post #1710)

dock appeared transparent?
1. open terminal , type

mlpostfactor v0.2.2 supports upgrade existing systems!

if want combo update 10.8.x 10.8.3 follow steps below:
1. download combo update don't install.
2. follow guide above till step 2 (but select 10.8.3!! important!).
3. install combo update, reboot "install" partition important!!!
4. go utilities, , select mlpostfactor. once complete,
5. reboot 10.8.3 mountain lion
6. enjoy!
