i have 2006 mac pro use personal web server. had lion installed on it, , every thing working fine. last week started getting blank screen, system still running. couldn't screen come on, or screen sharing, had hold power button down restart.
problem got bad while tried reinstall lion, , later snow leopard. somehow blank screen, snow leopard got installed. far hasnt crashed while typing this.
question - buy new mac pro? can 1 fixed , still run latest operating system? or go route , buy mac mini or else?
remember use personal server - data have priceless me. have lot of files - 2-3 tb worth, mac mini difficult, , number continues rise.
i have same problem when have 2006 macpro , geforce7300 dying.
