Battery Not Charging Properly

for past few weeks, battery on 13" air has not been charging properly. it's 1 of new models, ordered day released, few months ago.

thought remembered magsafe light being on—if charging, it'd orange, , if not, it'd green. of time, now, there's no light @ when it's plugged in. battery refuses charge, getting stuck @ pretty anywhere in spectrum of fulness. refuse charge upon plugging in, stop after charging. can go again disconnecting , reconnecting magsafe few times.

today had enough , reset smc. @ least, think did. there no way confirm. (?) upon restart, battery again not charging, had reconnect magsafe few times again.

have bad battery?
thanks.

i had issue our coreduo macbook. culprit charger. took apple store , replaced free of charge. since 1 of older chargers (t-style connector), replaced newer 1 (l-style). there noticeable "charring" on mag-safe connector on defective charger.

i'd should see if there's "charring" on charger. not, since apple has redesigned charger.

other thing should check make sure pins in charger connector aren't stuck. pins springy, , if stuck in "in" position, won't charge properly. next time notice light not working, pull out connector , @ pins.
