Backing up and restoring app data and system configurations

hi,

have issue iphone 4s have couple weird issues, imessage , push notifications working on wifi. tethering not working. if perform erase content , settings works perfectly, if restore backup either itunes or on icloud won't work. i'm assuming have corrupted system file(s) causing this. want these things working, still want keep app data, texts, pictures , among other things. i'm thinking way accomplish backup texts, app data, , pictures. perform erase content , settings , restore texts, app data, , pictures. i'm pretty open methods (jailbreaking , non-jailbreaking) long can imessage, push , tethering working while retaining text, app data , pictures.

 

any suggestions?
