Xcode Work: Air or Pro

so, find myself in position whereby i'm looking @ new mac laptop ios coding work, can't seem decide model want.

on 1 hand value portability - 13" air screams @ me, flash memory awesome, limited size wise. unupgradeable ram scares me touch, 4gb enough me, i'd rather have 8gb in there.


pro (13" also) lacks portability of air, has bigger hard drive , upgradeable ram - both of excellent have, can't decide whether offsets lack of portability.


suppose i'm asking - wwmrd - macrumors do? need other people's opinions


on seperate note - notice we're few (4/5) months away potential refresh of each line based upon buyer's guide. i'm intrigued people think these might bring platforms other inevitable speed bump undoubtedly come.


realise bit fuzzy, looking other people's opinions, not hard facts. ideally xcode work walk in , go 'i use macbook air/pro , rocks/sucks!" hey, i'll take can get.

 

imho, when using xcode, screen size everything. don't need particularly fast machine, need see both code , emulator in full screen.

screen can 1 on 17" mbp - less , have scroll screen see ipad / retina display.

use 2009 17" mbp work job well. if go older 17" mbp on newer mba or smaller mbp.
