can connect mac mini thunderbolt display using tbolt cable , connect tbolt hard drive tbolt display built-in cable. need locate mac mini away display.

i ran 2 tests using mba , atd.
first, connected mba atd using detachable tb cable. combination worked well, , mba displayed fine on atd.
connected seagate goflex tb drive (a bus powered device) pigtail connector atd, , drive did not light up... nor recognized computer. seems atd not supply power down pigtail connection connect mac mini.
next grabbed promise pegasus r4, self powered device. plugged pigtail, , works great.
bottom line: if next device in chain self powered device, think ok. if bus powered device, not think work.
