today have discovered "apple remote desktop". regarding great software have questions:

   have installed "apple remote desktop" on macbook pro , start it. can control other mac computers in network.
   question:
   found there "apple remote desktop client".
   mean, if can control mac computers without installing client software on them, client software for?

1. remote desktop client software used tracking/package installs/reports/etc stuff can use apple remote desktop for. don't have use apple rdp @ all.

open finder , click on go in menubar , "connect to" list. in list type vnc://ip address , can connect computer. can use sidebar if machines listed there.

ard used more in corporate environment install software, track usage , other task.

2. no can't - ard (apple remote desktop) uses vnc connect , different protocol ms rdp
