Planning on buying Mac mini; need help!

so i'm planning on buying mac mini next summer, , want know if hdmi cable sufficient video , audio work on tv has hdmi input. need adapter setup? , wanted know if 4gb of ram sufficient because have macbook pro 8gb , have 1.62gb free, 1.02 wired, 3.66 active. , 1.71 inactive. i'm not running either; watching movie, , itunes , google chrome open. guys!

an hdmi cable need cables.

upgrade 8gb of kingston ram, wouldn't cost lot , not hurt anything.... if it's watching movies 4gb do.
