i received late '06 2.16gb core 2 duo 1tb hdd (upgraded) 4gb ram macbook pro.
now, not boot off battery. once connected power cord, boot. can remove cable , continue boot battery.
so, run battery.
software however, shows x symbol along 'no batteries installed'. system profiler gives same info , coconut battery says nothing in there well.
macbook pro not charge battery, run out , magsafe connector keeps it's green light @ times.
tried resetting pram , smc , pmu well.. no avail.
knows can problem? runs when booted on battery when disconnected ac..
also, tried brand new battery well. tried 2.
pram/nvram has nothing battery/power/charging issues. resetting not help. resetting smc addresses such issues. try resetting smc again.
if smc reset doesn't help, check out link troubleshooting magsafe adapters @ bottom of charging section of following link.
if doesn't help, , problem exists new battery, may have problem logic board. these apple batteries, or knockoff batteries?
