lost my airport

well first not macbook guru, got first macbook couple of weeks ago. got internet set fine , able walk around house connected wifi. seems airport lost how, new macrumors community wondering if out there can walk me through how airport back. when trying reconncet not working,

what's computer? what's operating system? have installed latest update?

connectivity drops involving mbp's caused software side. there not universal solution this.
assuming on lion (since didn't specify), have solved downgrading snow leopard, others have succeeded replacing lion's drivers (read this article).

before attempting make sure have latest update , report necessary information.
