itouch is not charging but appears in itunes

itouch not charging, appears in itunes. should do? help! :s

 

try different cable.
reseat 1 using.
power down touch , start again.
reset on it.
if using usb hub, don't.

had issue older touch, , unplugging/plugging sync cable few times able work. figured dirty/dusty in dock slot although couldn't see overt.
