we got new ssd @ office have installed in 1 of our macpros, believe or not still running leopard. wanting install lion onto ssd (we've purchased on machine , have made bootable usb key) weren't sure if there specific things needed before so.
want able dual boot (for now) between leopard , lion want ensure don't wipe leopard install drive.
will wiping leopard disc once know has been backed up, our apps work in lion, , we've migrated projects newest versions. @ point want make ssd our boot drive. how go doing switch (ie taking non-boot drive , making such)

i assume leopard on hard drive separate ssd. in case, connect lion thumb drive, reboot , hold down option key , select lion thumb drive volume boot from. use disk utility on lion thumb drive format ssd guid install lion on the ssd (it ask select target volume).
once lion installed go sys prefs>startup disk , select ssd containing lion , click restart. computer should start booting lion volume.
