Display/logic board connection

comp 15" mbp 2009.

guys @ apple store replaced screen , logic board individually , said connect between 2 bad, both need replaced. bought new 13" mbp since little more cost have 15" repaired, plus having new nice. wondering if connection can fixed me or kind of thing cheap. i'd reset computer , sell if can have fixed pretty easily.
