Quick question about updates

when cydia apps have downloaded updated anyway of being informed other manually looking through cydia?

cydia ui front end apt-get, apt-get need refresh sources before can let know if update available or not, doesn't happen unless open cydia.

workaround there scheduling app can install , have script call apt-get update in background, have done on using command line, if confortable lot easier open cydia once in while.
