Battery rarely says 100% on lock screen

i try , keep laptop plugged as can keep battery in condition when have take laptop out of home , away power sockets.

i've downloaded lion , have noticed lock screen says it's 97-99% charged though desktop says it's 100% charged.

laptop secretly leaking out power , therefore being charged or visual bug?

have mbp 13" 2011

you shouldn't leave mbp plugged in time, battery needs used stay healthy. if you're not leaving home, should still run on battery few hours every few days. read ac power section of following link details.

it's normal battery may stop charging between 93-99%. should answer most, if not all, of battery questions:
