best buy's online stock not-quite real-time , has faults. may have in stock counts low , sell rate high not want risk selling 1 customer , not having 1 in stock when customer comes pick product - has happened me on 2 occasions, last being "game of thrones" bd purchase.
other reason want high-demand items available in store walk-in customers. otherwise how feel waiting in line overnight ipad launch find out sold stock online while waiting manager unlock front door?
