i have 240gb vertex 3 max iops ssd in hd bay want install programs have large footprint (cs5, logicpro). want put big hd in optical bay , had couple of questions.
first, thinking going owc data doubler kit because of price. trying decide between 750gb hitachi travelstar or 750gb momentus xt. first question is, xt worth price? benefit flash cache has partitioning files?
second, have reliable guide setting hd once installed in optibay on os , software side? system settings need change , should system ready install? (i've heard osx disables dvd playback external superdrive if removed).
third, should add separate partition or continuous volume?
last, kind of files should store on new hard drive? obviously, putting music , video downloads there. there system files should move on there?
