Dropped air while packing for return!

i going return air , have label apple.

unfortunately dropped while packing in fedex. still works fine, there sever dents , scratches on corner.

still able return , full refund? got 2 opposite answers phone calls apple. 1 suggest go apple care. 1 suggest go ahead , proceed return.

have experiences on returning damaged laptop?

 

apple care not cover accidental damage, , since damaged it, not able return it, apple not accept return, damaged goods.
