senator charles schumer (d-ny) has asked federal trade commission investigate reports apple , google give app developers access videos , photos on users smartphones.

apple has attracted congressional attention on privacy policies several times in past, once last year on location-tracking issues, , again earlier year on discovery ios app path uploading entire user address books servers.
