my wife bought iphone 4s. turned out dud (it not charge). went apple store 48 hours after purchase. gave "new" one, not in original box, , came in re-usable plastic box apple store kept in. said not refurbished, "new" , never used phone, , went through more testing out-of-box iphone. sure sounds refurbished iphone me. refurbished iphone?
nope. phones swaps used refurbished, why if @ paperwork gave mentions refurbished parts, stopped doing few months ago. phone got absolutely brand new. there several reasons use black plastic box instead of normal box:
- keep separate "sellable" stock
- have box , cables came with, don't second set because not buying new phone
- importantly, apple sends iphone recycled , use box send in. may test see caused problem. why noticed put old phone in it, attached id tag it.
