iPhone 4s: can't download anything! Suggestions?

i can no longer download apps or music itunes store onto iphone 4s. ipad 3 downloads fine, sons iphone 4s. has ever happened anyone? it's going on 3 days now.

 

for apps, logo appears , says waiting. sigh
