accidently deleted the folder with my name in the places section in finder

i trying open folder when opening document in photoshop, using wacom tablet pen instead of mouse, & clicked on folder name places section in finder, & dissapperard in little cloud icon. cant find it, & afraid messed badly. think folder home icon & name.

have noticed other odd performance glitches, when ever try open new tab in firefox, opens in new window instead of new tab, in preferences have open in new tab.

also, mac running bit slow well.

ran disk repair permissions week ago, & helped little acting weird again.

on mid 2010 i7 macbook pro running snow leopard 10.6.8

 

have time machine backups?
