Start of Line/End of Line Characters

i'm using logitech keyboard mac mini os x 10.7.3 , want reprogram home , end keys beginning of line , end line respectively. how work on pc. i've installed ukelele , remapped them stx (hex 02) end etx (hex 03), behavior doesn't change. default soh (hex 01) , eot (hex 04). make sure using keyboard, reprogrammed key , worked. os x ignoring changes? have wrong codes? referring trusty ibm system/370 yellow card, no other codes seems appropriate.

i found keyboard shortcuts here...

looking keyboard shortcuts in terminal? why mention ibm system/370 information when working mac? because there bash shell? perhaps o'reilly books on bash shell serve better reference information on computer 1970. unless of course using windows.
