Broken Screen Help

have iphone 4 unfortunately fell flat on on ground 1m drop. there no visible damage (ie. screen , plate not cracked etc) screen white/black/blue flashing sort of. touch screen function still work.

1 thing note, however, metal frame bent (near volume buttons) previous incident (which didnt affect phone in way)

not original owner of iphone (bought online cant track down original owner info on iphone).

have few questions:
1. able make appointment apple genuises , how far them? have no original documentation , im not original owner.
2. can fix myself? following link let me solve or more complex issue?

in regards genius bar question difficult say, went in dad's second hand iphone , checked serial , knew name of first registered owner , adress, luckily me said nan bought , luck lady's details saved, may replace it, depends on store, , if genius nice

no harm in trying
