Anime/MKVs and styled subtitles on the ipad

hi, there way me either:

a) play mkv file animus on ipad styled subs
or

b) convert mkvs mp4 or burn in subs in style work?

tried handbrake 'burn in' didn't keep styling. other solutions? font on handbrake way big.
