What is this and how do I get rid of it?


i have file on desk top titled: .ds_store

file , how can prevent displaying on desktop?
 

.ds_store files hidden. hide hidden files in finder, enter following 2 commands terminal window (press enter after each line):
defaults write com.apple.finder appleshowallfiles false
killall finder​
