New to Forum

hello,
i've purchased used macbook w/ os x 10.7.2, , first experience other windows machine. have situation cannot move files/folders on desktop.
when pull activity monitor lists user person owned laptop. person's name comes when "get info" desktop items.
folders accessible when want attach photo e-mail, can't figure out how change user me.
in advance help...

now, did restart , in terms of being able move them around! huh! caused temporary situation wonder? did cause this?

your going need reinstall os change owner. if want change name on menu bar go applications>system preference>accounts change user name..

assuming have install disc's boot install media (option while booting pick install media) go disc utilities when got actual installer go drive got erase, click security options , 0 out data, go bed. in morning start install process go work/school. when come home it'll new again. can install programs hearts content authorize itunes account etc.
