apple reckon have cracked tv market. wondered everyones thoughts on how they've done this. here thoughts (predictions of sorts)
1. screen panel going have 1 of best on market - going lg or sony build them? have to warrant price.
2. right here gets meat of issue - content. apple tv incorporate functions of current appletv box. tv channel content - don't see apple putting form of strategy forward mean have set top boxes. not them. means 1 of 2 options (i live in uk). have gone satellite/cable providers , said them "right we've incorporated box our tv plug cable/satellite connection our tv , provide front end. means (in case) no more bskyb remote or set top box - - channels subscribe appear on apple tv channel list. of sky's features sky anytime (free on demand) programming lost go through itunes store means you're losing of value of sky subscription. can't work complicated, or it?
or apple have skipped step , competing cable provider directly programming content provide on internet connection? (did british premier league rights?). mean has internet - not going set they're own cable companies on world. don't know guys internet connection not enough sustain these programs - not during peak times , not in hd.
if apple provide kick ass on demand tv viewing cannot make 100% of strategy - live tv cannot replace news , sport , special national announcements. need live programming. free-to-air digital channels?
3. features siri can't primary way interact tv can't voice tech isn't quick enough yet. need iphone control it?
4. think apps current appletv missing coming.
5. sound - people output tv's sound amp , surround sound. apple tv have surround sound bar along front i've seen on market or leave sound external connection. need amp below , ruins aesthetic
horrible articulation of thoughts - guys think?
you have hit major questions there, , agree them except inclusion of siri.
number 2 interesting. hadn't thought of built in cable boxes apple interface content. still, doesn't seem cable companies in direct competition apple.
