Time Machine backing up a lot of data.

every time sit down in front of computer, time machine backs 10 20 gbs. i'm not adding it. according activity monitor, "disk usage" year ago.
space utilized: 293.34 gb
space free: 1.71 tb
else ever encounter this? thanks.

 

system files have incredibly minute changes on daily basis, , thus, backed every few days, on time machine drive had 30 copies of system & library folders, because minute changes must've occurred. whilst 10-20gb may seem huge, depending on , how up, correlates quite on machine.

also, if you've got 1.7tb free, have got worry about...?

drive 1tb , mbp has 2 x 320gb drives, tm gets filled pretty once month before tm starts deleting older backups.
