iMac 2006 17" With single line down screen.

hi everyone. have purchased imac 2006 ebay following specs:

2.16ghz core 2 duo
3gb ram
ati radeon x1600 128mb graphics
250gb 7200rpm hd
superdrive/bluetooth/wi-fi

has single line down screen. on black background yellow on blue background white.

paid £120 including delivery her, right bargain. there can line? worse? @ moment, fine wondering if make sure doesn't worse.

my son bought cheapie, , worked 6 months, screen totally failed. turned out fan not functioning. wasn't worth repairing.

make sure fan running. imacs had screen faults apple repaired ... not sure if you's 1 of those. if fan not keeping things cool, might have problems. there software control fan speed ... commonly sensor on hard disk tells computer internal temperature. advise investigate fan working, because imo if can keep computer cool, go on , on.
