now, of know, threads , postings. hardcore pc guy. right i'm running pretty beast of main machine, won't go it's specs. ( have dumped 3400 tower alone, thank god tiger direct, , might sound alot, paid itself, if cares specs pm me. nice machine. ). , have couple of old macs, , g5. , still have old pc’s high school, keep em around.
here want know, exactly. makes mac, better pc? know there personal preference , that, , think osx awesome operating system.....but.
going in high school, had built amd x2 system in high school ( oh, on time @ super market lol ). had similar performance mid range g5 ( right before intel switch ). and, had g5‘s @ school, of freinds parents had g5‘s , knew alot of “ mac “ people go on , on , on how “ macs more stable, more secure, last longer, better deal, built better, blah blah blah blah windows doesn’t work. “
now, here thing. had xp pro rigs built myself in time period, used me , 95 when younger, can’t them. trying that, in years used xp pro. never had virus problem, never had stabilty issues, never had slow down issues, don’t buy whole “ windows sucks @ blah blah “, because don’t think xp sucked, vista did. 7 not, think osx , windows ( xp , newer ) both great operating systems.
here’s comes me. in day, pc built comarable performance mid range g5 cost 1800 less g5 have same performance. today, if bought mac pro similar specs i’m running now, run 1900 dollars more ( talking no monitor either system of course ) here me out.
system , mac pro ( depending on model of course )
both of them exteremly built ( built own, used nice components )
both of them rock solid stable
both of them super easy expand
both of them perform very well
both of them responsive, fast, run quietly , cool.
osx , windows 7 both stable, fast, , useable os’s.
both have tons of support.
whats difference? in tower looking @ 1800 dollar difference between pc , mac.
in same sense higher end pc rig in highschool, , mid range g5‘s in day. makes macs better pc? i’m trying understand it. love mac, don't i'm hater second. fail understand justify spending 2000 dollars more on same computer @ least in terms of performance run osx?
not doubting build quality/engineering put mac, are awesome computers. couldn't justify spending 2k more on mac pro rather on pc built myself.
, before flips out @ me being " mac hater ", wanna bought g5 because deal, , wanted try out macs not os9 running piles of crap in high school. , love it, made well, pretty quick, , 95% of non serious tasks ask to, love mine., hell when use main rig ( moved g5 regular desk away legacy desk, , hooked router/dvi switch , gave own keyboard , mouse ) love touching g5, feeling wonderful smooth case, , love how made
why guys spend run mac? maybe i'm missing something.
it's software. hardware nice, newer macs , older macs both better windows machines ever made, software makes mac infinitely better.
if you're using mac , haven't realized how easier use windows, how less time spend running ant-virus, anti-malware, anti-this, anti-that, (that required part of windows) , simplicity of every facet of os, barely using mac.
more productive on mac, while spending less time on computer whole, using windows. , i'm guy used windows 20 years , thought mac users idiots.
