i'm newbie, both forum , mac, forgive me if place post incorrectly. have macbook pro 13" i5 w/ 8g upgrade, late 2011, , install windows 7 pro hardware config considering-
data doubler 750gb hd , placing optical drive mac in aftermarket, usb connected external case. load windows in new hd , able to, option keystroke boot @ start-up select new hd, have windows open, default @ normal start-up mac os x on stock drive. assuming have load lion operating system in new hard drive, make partition large enough hold os x , rest windows 7 pro. can have windows run on hd without lion os x , bootcamp? had old tower running xp , want import files , programs. how memory should allocate software , security updates os x partition?
have 1 tb wd mac velcro cover , same optical drive. can partition external memory mac , windows? don' care pretty, want have 2 machines in one.
could load , run windows 7 pro wd external hd , keep optical drive in machine? less clutter , have usb port available. have digital voice recorder usb connection have download files daily. wd firewire 800 connection back-up files. need transfer hd video flash drives memory or make iso files on dvd can use them next day.
