Macbook Pro Power Management problem

hi, dropped late 2008 macbook pro (15). case destroyed. display ok though. since repairing @ official partner service (im poland don't have apple stores in here) wasn't option ( asked half price of laptop when bought ), found guy resells cases cosmetic defects. asked him if repair me , gave him laptop. got computer , besides brief problems wifi not working ( couldn't find hardware, after leaving uncharged night it's suprisingly working again ) seemingly fine. problem since got computer doesn't go sleep when close lid ( checked preferences - ok , don't use external display ). when turn off, restarts shuts down. did of had problems lke ? apple hardware wizzards in here ? tried resetting smc , pram several times, moved powermanagement plist it's original place , restarted computer, didn't either. reinstalling mac os didn't either. in advance.

 

not sure want tell you. seems minor inconvenience considering dropped computer point needed have repaired. anything.
