iTunes match m4a?

i started using itunes match. deleted matched songs mac, , redownloaded them in order tracks @ higher quality.

noticed songs, email/share fiancee, m4a files. appear encrypted. there anyway around this, or music permanently compatible ios devices only?

no, did not backup music, unfortunately.

 

itunes songs not have drm. not encrypted. makes think are?
