how would I sync Aperture libraries on two mac's

i travel mbp , use macpro @ home. have aperture 3 on both , download images each, not same images depending on am. merge both libraries ave same folders/projects on both. far way can think of through use of outboard hard drive both libraries , merge them. other thoughts.
