need mac knows connecting - or rather not connecting - wifi networks. when on internet, our connection slow down, , if check, because in spot in house 6-8 other wifi networks have become 'visible'. though password protected, still seems mess our own wifi connection in our house. don't know why does. way block other networks? have networks settings doesn't remember joined networks. don't know else do.
the way can affect network if they're on same channel. airport radar widget (mac) show channels being used nearby networks, can choose 1 doesn't conflict. other that, presence of other networks in area won't affect yours, long have yours protected secure wpa2 password. can select channel launching airport utility (in /applications/utilities folder), going manual setup > airport tab > wireless > channel.
