Help...App download remain waiting forever!

i don't know when started, because haven't use mac app store long time. today when tried download ibooks author, ibooks author icon appeared in launch pad remained waiting 5 hours. tried reboot, sign in , sign off, nothing worked. has idea hell going on??

 

had to, update app. canceled , tried again in couple of days.
