Resolved iBook G3/ Mac OS 10.4.11 Update Issues

i have ibook g3 working donor ibook. got mac os 10.4 dvd , installed tiger on without problems. problem having lies os 10.4.11 combo update apple, can't install correctly.

first time downloaded , tried install it, (via software updater) failed installing it. downloaded copy off of apple's website , tried way. worked, ibook restarted , stall @ apple logo , spinning wheel. after 30 minutes, hard booted it. seemed further (finally got "starting mac os x" screen) , stall status bar @ 100%. wouldn't recognize trackpad , had plug in external mouse move cursor around (even though couldn't anything). morning reinstalled 10.4, went restart , produced kernel panic (sys. failure: cpu=0, code=00000001 (corrupt stack) ). rebooted, , got infamous "you need restart computer" message @ apple logo screen. third time, reinstalled mac os x 10.4. works, got through installation , desktop. tried install combo updater 10.4.11 again (via. package apples site, not software update), goes way through , @ end says "update failed, try again". tried reopen installer automatically close after open it. go apple menu , click "about mac" , says i'm running 10.4.11 now. reboot, , i'm was, ibook stalls @ apple logo , spinning wheel. hard drive sounds doing every , then, not activity.

suggestions on here? ran "apple hardware test" cd, , passed. (before ram upgrade , swapped hard drive) had problems mac os 9 giving me bomb errors @ random (even after clean installation). told me ram soldered logic board bad, have no idea (thought more of hard drive issue @ time). have 256mb stick in there seems working fine.

kernal panic can anything, can ram. recommend running ram test.
