Better usage app?

for example if go settings , see how space have left, says 10gb , used 2.7gb. fair enough, because know of 16gb used ios.

if add apps, have 1gb of use. can't imagine have 1.7gb of photos (it doesn't tell me how space photos using).

have no music nor videos on phone.

 

what measurement using add app's size? size listed on app store? size highly compressed size. size in itunes? same app store size.
