Upgrade to Lion Changed Serial Number and Display Readings

i have 2010 macbook pro 15" hi-res screen.

yesterday, upgraded snow leopard lion. after installing lion, used combo updater go 10.7.3.

there efi firmware update -- message told me had use "partition" function.

today, when looked @ "about mac" said had 13" mbp 13" display.

showing wrong apple serial number -- 1 consistent 13" mbp. correct number etched in bottom of case , consistent 15" have.

i've zapped pram no change.

totally baffled. what?

in advance whatever can provide.
