MVC Question

hi. have question regarding mvc design concept. in diagrams have seen ( including material stamford lectures) there no allowance data passed model controller. , yet data has passed in order passed  a view,right?. or maybe i'm mistaking data communication? 

have private model object declared in main controller per recommended in lectures ,but surely  the results have fed model view via controller?

 

in first lecture of 2010 stanford class, there slide showing how data travels.

recall, kvo (key-value-observing) used alert controller of changes in model, , controller tells view directly.

again, suck @ grasping mvc , have ask regarding time.
